    Bonney Prince Charles at Culloden Moor in 1745.

    More Advanced – “What Are Moving Lines?”.  

    Learn the song “ April Showers”. Then write your own harmony.  You will learn more
    about chords and how to use them in writing an arrangement.

    Intermediate – “How Do I Count That?”.

    Counting difficult time signatures giving you a hard time?  hahaha.  Learn how to count
    2/4, 3/2 and 3/8.  And 4/4 and 6/4 in one song.   Songs; “Early, Early In The Spring”,
    “A Rich Irish Lady”, “Shalom Aleichim”  and  “Dublin City”.

Tish Westman

    Tish and her husband Greg make up two of the three full time resident
    studio Artisans at Tamarack in Beckley, West Virginia, which is an art
    center showcasing "The Best of West Virginia", Art and Crafts from
    across the state. Along with being a woodworker and Luthier she also
    is a singer/songwriter, musician and teacher of many stringed
    instruments. She plays Bowed Psaltery, Ukulele, Clawhammer Banjo,
    Autoharp,
    Native American Flute and piano and has won several awards on
    Mountain Dulcimer including Mid-East Regionals. For 10 years, Tish
    and Greg  organized “The Bowed Psaltery Symphony” which has had
    over 60 musicians from all over the country come to participate and
    perform at Tamarack. Because of Covid 19, 2020 had major changes
    in venues so Tish has started teaching virtually for festivals and private
    sessions.   She has CDs recorded with "Psaltrio" and many song books.
    They have performed on Mountain Stage and many other music
    venues including our local Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg, WV. Tish's
    passion is teaching people to play music, fiber arts and gardening.
